I am a textile artist living on the cliffs of North Cornwall overlooking the sea.
It is here in this remote and often windswept environment that I create my hand embroidered, mixed media pieces.
I use 1930's American feed sack quilt pieces, found objects and ephemera to build layers of texture and interest often with a narrative running through them. These fragments of old material are then joined together with naive hand stitching and embellished with more intricate embroidery. The colours of these vintage fabrics give my samplers a feeling of nostalgia and of days gone by.
I hope you enjoy looking through my work and please feel free to contact me about anything you see.
